From Jaisalmer we took the train to Jodhpur, known for obvious reasons as the "Blue City".

Most of our time in India was spent in Rajasthan, a large state in the northwest known for palaces and forts. Mehrangarh Fort stands tall over Jodhpur.

Tourists were everywhere in India, and most were Indian. Many of the countries we visited have relatively few domestic tourists.

Jodhpur's clock tower, surrounded by busy markets. The clock hasn't worked since 1955, when it was struck by lightning on November 12 at precisely 10:04 pm.

There's no train from Jodhpur to Udaipur, so we reluctantly hopped on a bus. This journey was quickly added to the long list of hot, cramped, bumpy, uncomfortable, horrible, terrible, excruciatingly miserable bus rides during our travels. I also had to pee the whole time.
